This blogroll is a work in progress (and always will be). If you have recommendations for useful sites, blogs to add to a section, or a new section to create, please drop me a line. I am always looking to add to the list.
Dear Book Without A Cover,
Your blog is beautiful — congratulations. I was excited also to see Alternatives for Girls listed here. I was an intern there as part of my MSW training.
The reason I’m writing is that I’m working to mobilize feminists across the country to challenge the state of California’s morbid neglect of health services agencies serving the poor, which is resulting this week in the closure of the oldest feminist clinic in the country. I’m furious that the state is allowing the health care needs of poor women be sacrificed while the politicians keep playing their budget games.
We need to stop this. Please spread the word, please blog about this, please write letters to the governor of California and to President Obama. The website above is a facebook group I created a couple days ago to help inform and organize people. But this isn’t going to happen without grassroots organizing. I hope you will lend your support.
