Let’s Talk About it: A Discussion about the film ‘Precious: A Discussion Based on the Novel “Push” by Sapphire’
SASHA CENTER and The Boll Family Center YMCA have partnered to facilitate a discussion with girls and women in our community who have read the book “Push” by Sapphire or who have seen the film “Precious” directed by Lee Daniels.
Our two hour discussion will include topics on racism, oppression, child sexual abuse, black families and how they intersect to impact our lives as survivors and supporters of survivors in our community.
Please join us for a free lunch provided by Infinity Solutions, creator of the “I Am Woman Expo” and honest discussion around a serious topic that deserves attention.
