Thursday, October 22, 7:00pm

Radical Women hosts a discussion on the document, “Notes from the Female Reality in Mexico,” written by Leda Silva Victoria and Angélica García Olivares, which paints a stark portrait of women’s lives, from rising violence and the criminalization of abortion to the feminization of poverty.  But there’s good news too-women are mobilizing!  The writers are leaders of the Partido Obrero Socialista/Socialist Workers Party of Mexico and are on the frontline in developing a socialist program for women’s liberation.  The English version of the pamphlet was issued by Radical Women Publications at the request of the authors.

A Mexican supper, with vegetarian option, will be served at 6:15pm for a $7.50 donation.  Meeting admission free.  New Valencia Hall, 625 Larkin Street, Suite 202, San Francisco (located five blocks from the Civic Center BART station, and on the #19, 31, 38, 47 & 49 Muni bus lines).
